We are pleased to invite applications from all aspiring teams to participate in the prestigious Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in 2025.
About the competition:
The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is an advocacy competition for law students. It is one of the world’s largest moot court competitions. Jessup National Rounds will be conducted in 2025. The competition helps students to demonstrate their advocacy skills, critical thinking and legal research skills.
The Jessup 2025 Problem concerns Naegea Sea. The teams are required to argue on a fictional international dispute before the International Court of Justice on issues related to around jurisdiction, immunity in International Law, maritime rights, and aircraft seizure.
Procedure to participate:
1. The team shall comprise of minimum 2 members to maximum 5 members.
2. The participants are required to argue on one issue of the Jessup 2025 Problem.
3. The team is also required to submit memorials from the side they are representing for the elimination.
4. Teams are required to fill the form latest by 30th September, 2024 (1.00 pm).
5. Kindly read the rules of the competition before applying.
6. In case of any query, kindly contact MCS.
7. The date of elimination will be on 11th October, 2024 , the details regarding the venue and memorial submission will be communicated to the participants via email.
